Hello Friends,
The family has scheduled a memorial service for John Pickens on Saturday December 22 @ 4 p.m. It will be held at the LDS ward building at 36400 Haley Street in Newark, California (see map below). We hope you will be able to attend.
The service will follow LDS format and have time for you to share personal reflections, vignettes, stories about how John has touched your life or what he has meant to you. Do not feel that you must share, however. Your presence will bring strength to the family members who will dearly miss John, especially at this time of year. If you are unable to attend the service but would still like to share your reflections, or even if you are attending and would like to record them for John's family, please email them to johnpickensmemorial@acamopi.net. Photographs are also very welcome.
If you are musical, you are welcome to share something with everyone after the service is over in the cultural hall. We want this to be a celebration of John's life.
